Legal name: Little Spring NGO
Charity ID: 7224769
Country: Mongolia

Our Goal:

To provide support and assistance to sectors such as healthcare, education, energy, and civil society, and to the stakeholders within these sectors, through the use of digital technologies.

Ongoing Projects:

1. Publicly accessible transparent account solution - [View Sample Transparent Account]

We offer a free, simple, and secure solution for reporting your finances publicly by using Google Sheets and banking Open API (Corporate Gateway) technologies. The reporting operates in real-time, eliminating any time delays. It features a view-only mode to prevent any tampering and is fully automated. This solution can be used by any organisation wishing to make their finances transparent—ranging from homeowners' associations (СӨХ) and NGOs to larger entities. It aims to foster a culture and mindset of Open Data among citizens at all levels, support learning how to utilise and monitor open data, and contribute to strengthening institutional trust.

2. "One Drop" - https://onedrop.littlespring.org/

It aims to demonstrate to the general public in a simple, gamified way how the consistent participation of a single citizen, when combined with the efforts of others, can create a significant impact on society.

3. Independent digital whistleblowing platform – https://shugel.littlespring.org

Once citizens learn how to navigate open data, they require a highly secure platform to report irregularities while ensuring absolute anonymity and informant safety. To achieve this, we collaborate with the GlobaLeaks platform. To maximize accessibility and ease of use, we have localized and translated the entire platform into the Mongolian language.

4. Governance with direct citizen participation (Liquid Democracy) – https://vote.littlespring.org

It is more effective for citizens to learn to make decisions themselves using technology, after first learning to work with open data and blowing the whistle on problematic issues. In collaboration with the LiquidFeedback platform, we are testing on a small scale "Liquid Democracy", a form of governance that combines direct and representative democracy, where citizens can vote directly on their own or temporarily delegate their vote to a trusted person or representative. This is characterised by dynamic delegation, where a citizen can vote themselves at any time or delegate their vote to someone more informed on that specific topic. In this system, voting rights are not fixed but take a fluid and flexible form that changes with each issue, while also aiming to make decision-making more transparent using modern digital technology and blockchain solutions.
